- The Southern Highlands Concert Band was formed in 1985 with the aim of providing meaningful cultural experiences to the residents of the Wingecarribee Shire through the performance of music and to promote activities promoted by the Wingecarribee Shire Council both inside and outside of the district. The Band also has a significant role in developing the skills of its members through regular rehearsal and performances.
- The Band now has some 45 members, both from the Wingecarribee and surrounding areas. Members consist of musicians with a range of skill levels and ages, from those who have had limited instrumental experience through to others who have been performing concerts for many years.
